Self-Isolation – Tips to Keep the Boredom at Bay

With the UK in a state of lockdown to help defeat this terrible virus that is sweeping the world, our thoughts this week have leaned towards keeping ourselves entertained whilst in lockdown.

The initial three-week period (that could be extended) has led to a number of people doing an array of different things to keep themselves entertained. You only have to look at the app tik tok to see what we mean along with the endless pictures of dodgy haircuts girlfriends have given to their boyfriends.

So, what can you do to keep yourself entertained? We have a few ideas below which we are using to help keep ourselves entertained.

Workout

Home hiit sessions have a been hugely popular whilst the gyms have been shut and they are a great way to keep up your fitness up during the lockdown and even to shed a few pounds if you want to.

Netflix

We are lucky enough to live in a time where technology is improving at a rapid rate and services such as Netflix are perfect during this time. With endless amounts of movies and series to binge watch, it will be easy to keep yourself preoccupied as the days tick away.

Video Games

Consoles such as the PlayStation and Xbox are fantastic as they can keep you and the kids entertained for long periods and can be used by multiple people at the same time. This is a great way to keep the whole family’s boredom at bay.

Chores You’ve Been Putting Off

We all have one of those lists of little jobs to do around the house that aren’t extremely important but need to be done at some point. Often the last resort when you have literally nothing else to do. The lockdown could be the perfect time to get all or at least some of these done in order to keep you busy and stop you from going stir crazy.

We hope these little ideas can help you during this time and we urge everyone to take no unnecessary risks to ensure the safety of everyone. Stay safe from the team at Countrywide Windows.
