What Does FENSA Certified Mean?

FENSA is a government made Competent Person Scheme for the replacement of windows, doors, roof lanterns and roof lights in England and Wales that ensures windows and doors supplied and fitted comply with the relevant Building Regulations in order to meet the quality standards that are expected.

FENSA was established as a Competent Person Scheme (CPS) in April 2002 as a response to the Building Regulations for double glazing companies in England and Wales. As the market leader, FENSA is the largest and longest established Competent Person Scheme within the replacement window and door industry.

The role of FENSA is to enable companies to self-certify compliance under the Building Regulations without the need for a separate assessment from Building Control.

What Does This Mean?

Being FENSA certified essentially means that you as the customer have the peace of mind that your project is being completed to the highest possible standards and to the correct building regulations. Essentially this means that you know that no corners are being cut and everything is being installed professionally and effectively.
