3 Ways to Warm Up Your Home Whilst Reducing Your Energy Bills

Everyone loves a life hack to help save money whilst improving their lifestyle. So, this week we are going to give you three ways to warm up your home whilst saving a few pennies in the process.

Utilise Sunlight

Sunlight creates heat and most importantly is free. The best way to heat your home is to utilise the sunlight by having your curtains and blinds open a much as possible during the hours of sunlight. This will warm up your home without you having to use your heating, saving you money whilst improving your mood. This will also make your home feel more spacious and welcoming.

Replace Draughty Windows and Doors

Windows and Doors that are leaky let energy pour out of your home and can vastly increase your energy bills as you constantly have to use your heating to keep your home warm. Replacing these issues will trap energy in your home meaning you have to use your heating less and in turn you will see a decline in your energy bills which makes everyone happy. A small outlay initially will pay dividends in the future and vastly improve your home life.

Upgrade Your Insulation

If you constantly find that your home is cold you may have an issue with your insulation. Upgrading your roof and wall insulation will help to keep your home warmer and trap energy inside. This will be excellent during the summer and winter as your home will keep all the energy inside meaning your heating will rarely need to be used again, resulting in reduced energy bills.

These are only a select few options we have chosen to talk about today and there are many other ways you can reduce your energy bills whilst warming up your home. If you would like to discuss any of the options mentioned above or some other ways to reduce your energy bills, contact a member of our professional and experienced team to find out more or to get a tailored quote.
